All Android Phones Getting An Update?

27 Feb
2010

So you might have an android phone, and maybe you adopted the android technology and got the G1? So you started out with not much, built up an empire of apps and love it, then you got an update, it has done well for you, and then… another update. This update also did cool things, more things. So you love your phone and then they announce a new android phone that does more and another that does more…. and than they announce 50 more (there are more than 50 different android phones being made). You and your G1 feel left out, especially since there are phones like the Nexus One and the Moto Droid that have firmware version 2.1 and 2.0 respectively.

Well if you are sad and you got told you would get no love, than today is a good day, because today they announced that ALL android phones would get the update to 2.1 before Quarter 2 of 2010, which is before Summer, and the best part for early adopters is that they will probably start getting it first. I find this very cool of Google, and now people will stop complaining that Google is spreading themselves thin, every phone will have 2.1. I heard that the G1, won’t have the app drawer or live wall papers, but everything else should basically be there. But don’t be sad, the app drawer can be a tad buggy and live wall paper is a battery killer. Nice, but don’t like the sacrifice of them.

So get excited and wait by your phones.
